PUBLIC LIBRARIES ADVANCING COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT is a program that has been described as “book club meets science cafe”.  The Indian Lake Library will be participating in a series of community programs, open to all, (teens to adults) to consider the local impact of climate change to develop local adaptation strategies.  Using book discussions, videos and the expertise of meteorologists, we will try to come up with different ways to think about and react to change!  Look for a program series coming up June-November, 2017

Monday August 21, 2017 Free Family Eclipse Party 1:00 PM- 4:00

Indian Lake may not be the best place to view the eclipse, but we have glasses for safe viewing  so let’s get together for some fun. The moon will pass between the sun and the earth, blocking the sun for three hours. The day will get cooler. Best viewing here begins at at 1:20 PM, peaks at 2:40, over by 3:50 PM. Come at one, get your glasses and learn more about the world around you. An outside event!
