Happy Thanksgiving

The library will be closed for Thanksgiving through the weekend so the staff can give thanks and enjoy the Country Christmas Tour. Make sure you stop by Donna’s for buck eyes and snack on Beth’s donuts! The wifi will be available 24/7.  We will reopen on Monday

Thank You Senator Farley

We had a nice turnout and a day made to order as we said “thank you” to Senator Farley for his unending support for the community and especially for the library.  Library Board Trustee President Ernie Pollman kept his remarks brief with thanks and good wishes for a happy retirement! Senator Farley is pictured here with his son Bob and Senator elect Tedisco who promised to continue in Senator Farley’s tradition.img_0304

Beyond Woodswoman November 18

The Library is pleased to host “Beyond Woodswoman”, a critical review of the Woodswoman book series by Anne LaBastille presented by the Hamilton County Historian. The program will be held Friday at 6 PM  as part of the National Endowment for the Humanities project, “The Arcadia Factory”, a series of public conversations about demographic change in the county led by Dr. Eliza Jane Darling. Bring a favorite piece of writing on Adirondack women!
