February is the shortest month.  This February we had the shortest meeting.  A combination of busy people, bad roads, and perhaps Snocade, or maybe even a bit of a cold,(?) kept some of us away but despite it all, five of us showed up.  Natalie and Donna shared possible illustrations for our future Chap Book.  So we are cooking, if on a slow burner. Let’s promise to heat it up next month.  Continue reading “Explosion: March 19”

Tax assistance at the library March 7

Sign up by calling the library!  Appointments are available from 12 to 2:30 on March 7 for free assistance completing your taxes. 

The MyFreeTaxes Partnership provides free federal and state tax preparation and filing assistance for qualified individuals. It’s easy, safe, secure and 100 percent free. Powered by the Walmart Foundation – in cooperation with Goodwill Industries International, National Disability Institute and United Way Worldwide – the MyFreeTaxes Partnership’s online and in person tax preparation and filing services will help tens of thousands of taxpayers this year.

Wednesday 2/19, 7 PM at the library, Trans Adirondack Route

This 235-mile opportunity to traverse the Adirondacks is being dubbed by former Adirondack Park backcountry ranger Erik Schlimmer the “Trans Adirondack Route”. Learn more about this from Erik himself.  He will be at the library for a free program on Wednesday at 7 PM.  The program is open to everyone, but the library will be closed on Wednesday night for regular business
